Basketball League Conditioning

When I was in high school, the day after Thanksgiving was always the worst practice. This is mainly because we were relaxing, and eating a lot the day before. We are usually tired and not wanting to run or work hard at practice the next day. So every year my coach would always make it the toughest conditioning usually. She would typically say to bring your running shoes. We would run suicides, do full court lay-ups, and have to run for every mistake in practice. She pretty much would make us regret eating at all the day before. Since I went through this traumatic experience, I decided that I would NOT make the kids go through that during the basketball league. We played a lot of games. We played pac man, knockout, and dribble tag. I coached the older kids, and they played 2 on 2 most of the time. We didn't have as many children as we usually do because of the holiday weekend. But we decided to make the day a lot of fun for the kids who did show up.
